Referrals are tracked through direct submissions from trusted Users (Partners). Businesses can define their own referral steps and mark them as closed manually or use QR scanning for in-person confirmations.
You decide what that means for your business. During onboarding, you'll select which referral stage (e.g. "Signed up," "Purchased," "Enrolled") counts as "closed." Once it’s marked closed, rewards are triggered automatically.
RefX encourages quality, not volume. You’ll always be in control of approving/refusing any referral that doesn't meet your standards. RefX even has tools to limit the number of referrals submitted as well as blocking Partners who spam referrals.
Yes! You can define referral types, assign values to each, and even run limited-time campaigns with custom rewards.
No problem. In Standard and Pro tiers, you can manually or automatically assign incoming referrals to specific team members based on role, location, or product category.
Yes, your referral stages and workflows are fully customizable and can be updated anytime from your admin dashboard.
No problem. Anyone is welcome to sign up for a subscription to receive referrals. Not only are our Free and Basic tiers are geared towards individuals and sole proprietorships, but RefX also makes a great networking tool!
Totally fine. You can use RefX purely as a tracking and routing system. Rewards can be added later at any time.
Each referral you send is tied to your personal profile. Once the person you refer completes the necessary step (set by the business), your referral is marked “closed” and you earn points.
You’ll get a notification as soon as the business marks your referral as closed or when the business scans the referral QR code.
RefX rewards you with points for closed referrals. Currently you can redeem points for gift cards or charity donations, but more reward options are coming soon.
RefX doesn’t offer direct cash payouts. Instead, we focus on meaningful rewards that are memorable like splurge items, holiday gifts, or donating to a cause you care about.
Yes and no. Any business on RefX can receive referrals, however, RefX Users must be Partners with the business in order to send them referrals. Businesses can Partner with Users at their discretion.
Yes! You earn bonus points when you help bring new businesses to the platform.
Yes, RefX allows reward transfers to other Users, and lets you donate your rewards to verified nonprofits if you'd like.
